SEOUL — W Concept, the online fashion platform wing of South Korea’s retail giant Shinsegae, will showcase a virtual reality showroom where customers can try on various fashion items. Various styling guides will be provided in the real world-like virtual showroom.

W Concept said in a statement on December 15 that the virtual reality (VR) showroom was designed to allow customers to choose and purchase some 140 apparel items from 50 popular brands. With the theme titled “Find My Concept,” the online platform hopes to inspire customers to find suitable fashion products by experiencing three different virtual exhibition rooms.

Through the virtual showrooms, customers can try on different types of clothing to find items that best match their unique fashion styles. Virtual models in showrooms will provide styling guides for customers. Users can also find hidden discount coupons in the virtual space. Discounts of up to 15 percent will be offered.

In November 2021, W Concept has selected virtual social media influencer Rozy as its official model targeting MZ generation customers who value various experiences and unique lifestyles. The 22-year-old digital model has more than 100,800 followers and is interested in fashion and travel.
